Partnership Agreement
The Department for Communities is the sponsor Department for the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. Working together, we have agreed the partnership arrangements which will guide future relationships and marks a significant step forward in strengthening collaboration, trust, and shared purpose across both organisations.
The Partnership Agreement sets out the broad framework within which we operate as an executive, non departmental, public body.
Although we carry out work at arms-length, the Commission is ultimately accountable to the Minister for Communities. The document sets out this relationship with respect to:
- our overall aims, objectives and targets
- the rules and guidelines governing our functions, duties and powers
- the conditions of our funding
- how we are to be held to account.
