Notes to editors

The Commission is not authorised to exercise functions corresponding to those of a charity trustee in relation to a charity, or otherwise to be directly involved in the administration of a charity. However, as noted above, the Commission has been kept updated on developments relating to Victoria Housing Estates Limited and is content the proposals are lawful.

Any queries regarding the consultation or the proposals under consideration should be directed to Victoria Housing Estates Limited and Choice Housing Ireland Limited.

Victoria Housing Estates Limited was registered as a charity on 12 December 2018. However, this registration is currently “in suspense” due to ongoing and separate legal proceedings.
