Statutory inquiry is closed
The Charity Commission has today (17 June 2021) announced the closure of a statutory inquiry into the Minnowburn Trust.
The statutory inquiry, which related to concerns into the governance and administration of the Minnowburn Trust, was opened on 13 May 2019 under section 22 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
Having worked with the charity to address the governance issues identified, the Commission is content that the associated risks have been mitigated. The Commission intend to relay the findings, along with any wider lessons to be learned for the charity sector, in the publication of a statutory inquiry report in the near future.
