Commission registration list has been re-named

The Commission’s registration list has undergone a name change and is now known as the combined list.

The Commission is working hard to register the thousands of charities operating in Northern Ireland, with around 6,000 charities registered so far.

If a charity has been registered by the Commission you can search for it via the public register of charities.

If a charity is not yet registered, you can check to ensure they are known to the Commission using the online combined list (formerly entitled the registration list).

The Commission would encourage anyone who knows of a charity and it is not listed on either the combined list or the register of charities, to please contact the Commission.

The list was renamed as the “combined list” to help the public to differentiate between registered charities and those organisations whose status is listed as:

  • in the process of applying for registration, have an application in progress or have not yet been called forward (blank entry)
  • closed
  • have been refused registration
  • have failed to apply*
  • are requested to contact the Commission.

*If your charity is listed as having failed to apply you should contact the Commission immediately.
