
Public meeting guest speaker: Dr Clare Mills
Deputy CEO of the Charity Finance Group (CFG), Dr Clare Mills will be the guest speaker at the Commission’s forthcoming annual public meeting.
She will be be talking about banking, the challenges facing charities in opening and operating bank accounts, the importance of good governance, as well as the work CFG is currently undertaking with banks to help improve the operating environment for charities.

A registered charity in England and Wales, the Charity Finance Group (CFG) works to provide information, training, conferences and networking opportunities to finance professionals in the voluntary sector, as well as engaging with policy makers and officials so that the issues facing the charity sector are understood and accounted for by government.
As Deputy CEO, Dr Mills leads CFG’s Policy and Communications Team and Human Resources Team. Her career spans a range of policy, political and communications roles, focused on charity and not-for-profit roles since 2015. Prior to moving into the charity sector, she developed her keen interest in public policy, working for an MP for over a decade. She is a Chartered PR Practitioner and Member of the CIPR and has a long track record of board level volunteering with several charities, schools and the NHS.
