Have you received an email from the Commission?
The Commission is issuing reminder emails to around 1,300 registered charities, which are due to submit their annual accounts and reports to the regulator by 31 October 2024.
The emails will be issued later this month (September) and will highlight the charity's deadline, encouraging trustees to ensure the correct accounts and reports are submitted on time.
Once submitted, the accounts and reports will be automatically published on the charity's register entry as follows:
- Received: on time – displays charity when the charity has filed their annual reporting information on time.
- Received: x days late – displays when the charity’s accounts and reports have been filed after their deadline date, including the number of days overdue.
- Overdue: x days – displays for the X number of days after the charity’s 10-month deadline. The text will be amber if the charity is in default for two weeks or less.
- Overdue: x days – displays, in red text, when the charity’s accounts and reports are outstanding for more than two weeks.
The email alerts from the Commission are for information only and will not ask for personal information to be provided by reply or by email, post or text. Any changes to the charity information, including uploading accounts and reports or updating trustee contact details, should only be made via the Online services portal on the Commission’s website: Update your charity's details.
A range of online annual reporting guidance is available online here to support charities in submitting their accounts and reports to the Commission.
