Annual public meeting - presentation
The Commission held a very successful public meeting at Riddel Hall, Belfast, on 22 January 2025. This year’s event had a focus on the banking issues faced by charities and steps to resolve or prevent them.
Commission Chair, Gerard McCurdy, and Chief Executive, Frances McCandless, provided updates and insights into the Commission’s work. Dr Clare Mills from the Charity Finance Group (CFG) gave the keynote speech. The CFG is a registered charity in England and Wales and works to provide information, training, conferences and networking opportunities to finance professionals in the voluntary sector. They also engage with policy makers and officials so that the issues facing the charity sector are understood and accounted for by government.
