Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from Friends of Cedar Lodge is the enhancement of the health and educational opportunities for our beneficiaries by offering or aiding in the provision of necessary equipment, facilities, and recreational services within an educational context. These resources serve as a supplement to those offered by statutory
authorities. Additionally, we strive to build and strengthen the connections between the staff, parents, and the broader school community. We are dedicated to promoting activities that support the school and advance the education of our beneficiaries, including aspects of social, physical, and vocational training. These endeavors are directed by the Committee's decisions and are conducted in alignment with the laws governing charitable organisation. The effectiveness of our benefits is reflected in the projects we undertake to enhance the educational experience for our children and young people. We also systematically record feedback from parents, and the advantages of our efforts are further evidenced in the students' annual performance reports, highlighting their achievements within the school environment. The benefits are demonstrated by having an active organisation that engage with all parties involved with the school and through the increase in availability of and access to additional resources such as the equipment, school visits and transport There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries of the purposes are the children and young people of Cedar Lodge School and indirectly their carers and parents from the improvements to their child’s life. There may be incidental private benefit in the need to pay teachers and other staff necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes.
