Public benefits
• ( a) promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the town of Warrenpoint and surrounding area (herein after described as the area of benefit) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, political or religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities , voluntary and other organisations in a
common effort to advance education, including foreign languages , to provide for inhabitants of all ages, to preserve the environment and heritage of the area of benefit. • ( b) provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation, education, leisure, and all other community initiatives which fall within the remit and benefit of the community with the object of improving the quality of life for all the inhabitants and in raising awareness of all matters pertaining to the area of benefit and its citizens. • ( c) work with all groups from the commercial, voluntary sectors and elected representatives in Warrenpoint in furtherance of the needs of the citizens of the area of benefit and to develop awareness of the rich heritage of Warrenpoint and its surrounding area among firstly inhabitants and then visitors/tourists to the area. The direct benefits flowing include encouraging the inhabitants of the area of benefit to become active citizens in their community in a voluntary capacity, creating more effective communication between groups from the commercial voluntary sectors and elected representatives in the area of benefit, provide access to facilities and activities for other voluntary groups and the local population for the benefit of users, nurture respect and encourage inclusion and discourage displacement across the community. Create awareness of our local surroundings, encourage pride of place, provide educational advancement opportunities including foreign language classes, and promote a sense of well being physical and mental improve self confidence and inclusion among all the inhabitants. Benefits will be demonstrated by the number of inhabitants who engage with the provision of service, using the facility, completing questionnaires on matters of importance and the creation of a strong sense of community, improved partnership in the area of benefit and co operation. No harm will arise from any of the purposes The inhabitants of the area of benefit- namely Warrenpoint. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes.

The Group will work with other local voluntary groups to Identify the individual and collective needs of of the people of the area of benefit.The Group will focus on issues that affect the environment, heritage and commercial needs of the area and its inhabitants and will encourage cross community contact and support, support for members of the
community who are isolated due to age, language barrier and cultural differences. Encourage cross community contact and support, education, recreation and well being for inhabitants of all ages by promoting self-confidence of the individual and the whole community of the area of benefit. The Group will identify and give a voice for the issues that are affecting the community as a whole. The Group will collect/receive grants in pursuance of the identified needs of the whole community. We will communicate to the citizens the needs identified by the information trawls carried out within the community
