The benefits which come from the Ulster Consort Foundation are a commitment to the support and promotion of the arts, particularly choral singing throughout Northern Ireland and further afield, and making high quality arts and culture more accessible to a wider audience in Northern Ireland. Our commitment to making choral performances more

accessible and encouraging audiences to attend productions and events is demonstrated by offering affordable ticket prices, promoting productions in venues and areas where choral performances have not been available before, and engaging with local communities through outreach activities. The benefits of the Foundation include a commitment to ensuring that there is access across Northern Ireland for people to attend productions and events locally. To ensure that this happens, the Foundation is committed to supporting the staging of choral performances locally of the highest standard which are dramatic, engaging and feature local performers and creative artists with high production values. The use of singers and musicians from Ireland also appeals to audiences especially young local singers The Foundation’s purposes provide numerous benefits and these are demonstrated through the local schedule of performances, positive audience and participant feedback, media reviews, and a growing audience and profile throughout Northern Ireland. The profile of choral performances, and the cultural heritage of Northern Ireland, has also been raised through the involvement in partnerships with other arts organisations, musicians and choirs. There is no harm arising from the purposes The Foundation’s main beneficiaries are singers, musicians and creative artists from the island of Ireland, audiences, supporters of choral music, and the public generally who have increased access to and awareness of the arts through high quality choral music. There is no private benefit.

The Ulster Consort Foundation is dedicated to helping to make high quality choral performances, more accessible to the public Northern Ireland-wide. Through supporting an accessible, ambitious and imaginative programme of performances and providing information and awareness about, and access to, high quality choral singing, the Foundation supports

high-quality choral singing while promoting the finest local talent and using iconic spaces across Northern Ireland. By keeping ticket prices affordable and through the regular use of print and social media, the Ulster Consort Foundation aims to broaden the audience for the performing arts. It aims to promote the arts in Northern Ireland and connect to the wider community by engaging in a wide range of education and outreach activities, and collaborating with other choral and arts organisations and develop new partnerships further afield.

Charitable purposes

The aims and principal object shall be the promotion of the arts and the advancement of the education of the public in the arts and choral music and, as a means to this end, to support the public performance of choral works by the Ulster Consort Choir.
