Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from “advancement of religion” include holding weekly church meetings which are open to anyone with facilities for children and young people, the provision of gatherings throughout the week including smaller home groups and large groups leading to encouragement of moral improvement in society, and mental and spiritual

well being. The benefits can be demonstrated through feedback from beneficiaries and their families, the number of people attending our weekly Sunday services, other weekly groups, youth group and Sunday school. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The charity’s beneficiaries are the general public including children and young people. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes.

The charity’s purposes (‘the purposes’) are The principal purpose is the advancement of religion by providing a Christian place of worship in Belfast, Northern Ireland, for the general public according to The Ark Church Statement of Faith. For the avoidance of doubt, the system of law governing the constitution of the charity is the law of Northern Ireland.
