Tullaghmurry Fold Tenant Association

Registered

Charity no. 109997 Date registered. 14/03/2024

Public benefits

The benefits flowing from our organisations's purposes are providing lots of opportunities for all the tenants within Tullaghmurry Fold to come together regularly and attend particular events/activities that suit the needs are requirements specifically for our over 55's. We host regular events daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally encouraging as

many people as possible to participate with lots of encouragement and motivation. Everyone is made to feel welcome. Having regular calendar events helps give focus and helps everyone plan their schedules. Tullaghmurry Fold Tenants Association will identify the benefits by carrying out regular post evaluation surveys after events/activities to receive feedback on the events/activities on how we can improve the events, at meetings we will add onto the agenda of Meetings Events Feedback. This will demonstrate any learnings to ensure we continue to hold events/activities that people want to attend. The Tenants Association will record the numbers of attendees at events and recognise if the number of attendees is small then people aren’t interested in this type of event and change the events depending on the needs, wants and requests from the beneficiaries. What your organisation does

We are an Independent living scheme for over 55's based in the Coastal village of Portstewart. We carry out regular events and activities within the Common Room of Tullaghmurry Fold and partner with a number of sheltered schemes within the Causeway area to organise day trips to different schemes, outings etc. We have breakfast and lunch clubs,

knitting classes for the ladies and games for the gents in the afternoons and evenings to help reduce isolation and loneliness. Tullaghmurry Fold Tenant Association are very passionate about our outdoor garden space and in the better weather we spend quality time together creating a beautiful green space, helping to grow fruit and veg for us to use at lunch clubs. Having this purpose working together has helped create a great community within Tullaghmurry Fold.
