Public benefits

Purpose 1 - the advancement of religion The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include helping to preserve Islamic identity, to promote the spiritual, social, educational, recreational, psychological and physical wellbeing of all members. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children and

adults migrated from NI Muslim Community, a variety of other countries and those who have been born in Northern Ireland with an Islamic Cultural heritage. These benefits are evidenced through community feedback. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose. Purpose 2 – the advancement of education The direct benefits that flow from this purpose include an increase of children and adults from the NI Muslim Community in education which improves literacy, learning cultural awareness and educates the children and adults on how to integrate with other communities. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children and adults migrated from more than 42 different countries and those who have been born in Northern Ireland with an Islamic heritage. These benefits are evidenced through community feedback. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose. Purpose 3 – Provision of a community centre - the advancement of citizenship or community development The direct benefits that flow from this purpose include an increase of a better educated Muslim community in Northern Ireland who are aware of culture, integration, empowerment, up - skilling and capacity building. These benefits can be demonstrated through community feedback. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. The beneficiaries of Northern Ireland Muslim Community (NIMCA) are both the NI Muslim community and the wider community by building good community relations through social integration. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose These benefits are evidenced through community feedback and informal interviews. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. Charitable purposes

The Association is established to promote the benefit of the Muslim community in Northern Ireland by promoting Islamic culture, advancing education, relieving social distress and by providing information for the promotion of health and recreation with the aim of improving the conditions of life of the said families, parents and children.
