[What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisation's purposes?] Adult men The club members do outreach weekly to engage with men who need support and who are effected by social issues including, loneliness, Anger manager, family breakdown, health issues and depression. We work with 26/30 men per week, on ongoing support Women support
programmes (Show your stripes) In total we have supported 60 women in this programme, we engage with women from all backgrounds, including those who are victims of domestic violence, (we are a recognised a safe place under Women Aid) Our aim is to empower women to control their anger, build their confidence and resilience and getting them to enjoy the world of boxing. Engagement of disadvantaged young people. Over the last 5 years we have worked with the community police teams, local clubs and schools to engage and work with 100 young people whos needs include anti-social behaviour, SEN, young people who suffer from bulling and young people how suffer from anger management. We work with them through one-to-one person training, mentoring and support in health and well-being. The time scale for this support has been from 4 weeks to ongoing. Evolution Boxing Club helps to motivate inspire and preform individuals and the whole community. Through any of our sessions and workshops in amateur sport we teach truth discipline and respect. We have numerous links within the community which we strive to work alongside and include every age, gender, disability and ethnic backgrounds. One of our
main focuses is cross community development through boxing and amateur sport holding workshops for all to attend which have been designed for lasting and long term relationships. School programme We run a range of different workshops with the local schools through the medium of boxing including Secondary schools Carrickfergus Acadmey and Ulidia intergrated college These workshops include the delivery of anti bulling, self-confidence, being a victim and mental health and wellbeing, we do this via boxing and mentoring along with one to one support. We have worked with on average 150 school children a year.
