The objectives of the William Pinkerton Memorial Primary School PTA will be to promote the benefit to the William Pinkerton Memorial Primary School, specifically: 1. Developing effective relationships between staff, pupils and their families 2. Engaging in activities or by
providing resources, which suport the school and enhance the education of all pupils. The direct benefits flowing from purpose 1 include improved educational opportunities for all. Improved relationships enhance engagement, communication and understanding of pupils' education. The direct benefit flowing from purpose 2 is the provision of educational resources the school would not otherwise fund. How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated? The identified benefits can be demonstrated through staff, parent and pupil feedback, engagement and attendance at events. Is there any harm arising from any of the purposes? No. Who are the charity's beneficiaries? The charity's beneficiaries are the students attending the William Pinkerton Memorial Primary School. The William Pinkerton Memorial Primary School PTA consists of a group of elected parents and staff. The aim of the group is to raise funds to support the school, advance the education of the children and enrich their time within the school. We hope to develop relationships between school, parents and the wider community. Our objectives will
include organising social fundraising events for the aforementioned groups. Examples of events include: seasonal discos, movie nights, summer fayre and raffles. We encourage participation from the school comunity through invitations to open meetings and our AGM, feedback on events and through volunteering at events. The school council is also encouraged to submit suggestions for a wishlist. We ensure communication through the production of seasonal newsletters and through our social media channel. We liase with the school through our school rep who is a committee member and directly with the Principal - this allows us to determine which services or products the school requires funded.
