Public benefits
Our reason for being and which will benefit the public the most is that of ‘The Advancement of Citizenship and Community Development’. We are confident we will also impact and embrace ‘The Advancement of Education’ and ‘The Advancement of Health or the Saving of Lives We live, work, play and are educated in a rural environment and our resolve is to
ensure all our activities and purposes result in not only the betterment of our members but also that of our neighbours, community, families, organisations and individuals who live/work permanently or temporarily in our locality. We will not seek funding unless it encapsulates a greater and wider audience than our membership. We have recently applied for funding to work with the farming to understand the benefits of ‘Local Produce’ We will work in partnership with other organisations addressing comparable needs, e.g. social deprivation, ethnic populations, basic knowledge etc, Where needs data is not available we will undertake local community research and seek learning from other clubs Through research we will identify and establish purposes that are currently not addressing the needs of all our citizens and community We will improve the capabilities and effectiveness of our club and volunteers through implementation and ongoing review of our Governing Policy. We will share widely with all other charity sectors our best practice and learning We will focus our activities to model all our members as great citizens, ambassadors and representatives of our club within the community Our goal is that every member must see themselves as a valued member of the community and every community member must value the club and all its members Diversity will be accepted by every club member and member of our community. Diversity is best addressed if it is not ‘taught’ but embraced as the normal and harmonious way to live, work and play together not just in our club but outside of our club, in our homes, schools, and community We will measure the benefit of our activities by assessing our impact on our members, the community, and the overall objective of the club. We will do this by combining both quantitative and qualitative data from all sources involved. Our ongoing assessments and adjustments based on measurable feedback and research will ensure we are delivering and continue to meet the evolving needs of our members and our community Surveys and Feedback -- among club members to gather their opinions on the club's impact on their personal development, social skills, and overall well-being. And we will seek feedback from parents or guardians to understand how they perceive the club's influence on their young person’s life.
