Public benefits
Improved relationships between home and school - the benefits which flow from this purpose include funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. This purpose does not lead to harm. The
benefits can be identified through the enhanced educational experience and improved welfare of the children of Ballysally. We measure our activities through parental feedback, age appropriate student surveys and photographs and positive public relations generated for the school. There is no harm arising from our purposes. Safeguarding, risk assessment and the health and safety of our teachers, parents and young people is our top priority and we work to good practice in every area of school life. The benefit is for children at Ballysally Primary School to access a full education and achieve their full potential with the support of teachers and parents. The trustees (PTA committee members) are always parents of pupils at the school, and hence enjoy the benefits mentioned above in the same way as all other beneficiaries. The trustees maintain that it is necessary to ensure these benefits are provided to all beneficiaries on an incidental basis.
