THE PURPOSES OF SAINTFIELD HEN SHED ARE: a. Welcoming Venue: To provide a welcoming venue for women to talk and connect with others while participating in group and / or individual projects. b. Reduce Social Isolation: To reduce isolation and increase social networks of ladies in Saintfield and the surrounding local areas. c. Skill Development: To provide opportunity for skills development, capacity building and learning of women in the area. d. Wellbeing: To advance the health and well-being of women in Saintfield and the surrounding local areas. e. Culture & Arts: To foster an appreciation for arts and culture by organizing workshops, exhibitions, and events that celebrate the diverse talents of women in the community. f. Environmental Awareness: To promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices through workshops, community gardening, and other eco-friendly activities. g. Physical Activity To provide a platform for women to engage in physical activities, such as yoga, dance, or fitness classes, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle. h. Support: To offer support for women undergoing personal challenges, ensuring they have a safe space to discuss and find solutions. I. Educational Outreach: To organize seminars, workshops, and courses on topics of interest to women, ranging from financial literacy to personal growth. j. Community Involvement: To actively participate in local community events and initiatives, fostering a sense of belonging and unity among members. k. Intergenerational Interaction: To bridge the gap between generations by organizing events where older and younger women can share experiences, skills, and stories. l. Digital Literacy: To provide training and resources to help women navigate and use digital tools effectively, ensuring they stay connected in an increasingly digital world. m.
