Public benefits

To provide Martial arts training to people from the age of 6 and above in Northern Ireland. Providing training sessions to the local community within Lisburn & Castlereagh and surrounding area. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include improved health and fitness, reduced levels of stress and anxiety amongst people living in

Northern Ireland. Each member is on their own pathway following a regulated grading syllabus. The benefits are evidenced through seminars, grading examinations and competitions provided by our coaches and grading panel. In providing training sessions for members there is a risk of injury through contact at regular training sessions however this is rare. During dedicated Kyorugi sessions (sparing) there is a higher risk of injuries and harm however the benefits from training and competing outweigh the risks of injures and harm. The charities beneficiaries are people living in Northern Ireland. The club is based in Lisburn & Castlereagh however we have members travelling locally and from other council areas to be a member of our club. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose. We coach voluntarily at all club sessions. We currently run three sessions per week.

Charitable purposes

THE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY ARE: 1.1 To foster and promote the Korean martial art and Olympic sport of Taekwondo in the Lisburn & Castlereagh area, to provide opportunities for recreation and competition to both male and female members. To deliver and promote the sport through weekly classes. To work with local schools and deliver training programmes and increase the membership. We are able to achieve this by the following. 1.2 As an amateur club we aim to deliver and promote the sport of Taekwondo to those with no previous experience, regardless of age, gender, or ability. 1.3 As an amateur club we aim to develop discipline, technique and Taekwondo skills in amateurs allowing them to progress up through belt grades. 1.4 As an amateur club we aim to support mental health and physical wellbeing to all new and existing members through the practice and tenets of Taekwondo, and to follow the rules and regulations as laid out by the governing body, British Taekwondo. 1.5 As an amateur club we coach individuals who are participating in the sport at a non-professional or recreational level. It typically includes practitioners who are learning and training in taekwondo as a hobby or for personal development, rather than as a career. Amateur level practitioners may participate in local tournaments or events, but they are not competing at the professional level. It's a great way to enjoy the sport, improve skills, and have fun without the pressure of professional competition.
