What your organisation does

Friends of Clarawood was set up as a charity organisation in 2010 to support the children, families and the staff of Clarawood School. We aim to: Support the pupils promote the health and well being of the school community enhance the educational experiences of the children provide enrichment and therapeutic activities foster links with the local

community and beyond access financial assistance from the larger regional national charities for school based projects How we help, we raise funds to; provide additional therapies, resources and trips for the children support the development of school initiatives improve the facilities for the pupils encourage interests in sports build confidence through providing new experiences replenish supplies of play, sensory and gardening equipment nurture the children nurture through supporting the school's breakfast and healthy snack schemes foster healthy relationships and positive experiences in the life of the school

Charitable purposes

The association is established to promote education and the benefit of the pupils with severe social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties whom attend Clarawood School (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations, parents, guardians and carers in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries and in particular to: a) engage in activities which support the School and advance the education of the beneficiaries by providing or assisting in the provision of educational facilities at the school. b) foster more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others who befriend the School. c) to promote the health of the beneficiaries by providing or assisting in the provision of equipment, facilities and recreational services in an educational environment.
