Public benefits

International Association for Carbon Capture (IACC) recognise the contribution and excellence of research related to CO2 capture through free memberships. This will provide researchers with international recognition, encouraging them to carry out research. IACC will provide awards to excellent researchers. IACC will organise conferences, research

workshops and related events, which will be free to attend. This will provide opportunities for researchers or related public stakeholders to enhance knowledge about carbon capture and the reduction of CO2 emissions. Through these events, IACC will enhance knowledge exchange and facilitate networking. In the long term, significant public benefits related to climate change can be expected. Number of members of IACC; Number of events; Number of awards; Research outputs e.g. grants and publications resulting from IACC activities. IACC do not anticipant any harm at the current stage. Academic researchers in the field of chemical engineering, renewable energy and low carbon technologies; undergraduate and postgraduate students; Companies; Policy makers and the wide public who could benefit from the development of decarbonisation technologies, mitigating climate changes. There will be incidental private benefit. This is mainly related to the development of new networks, exchanged knowledge and memberships and awards of IACC (recognition of research excellence).

Charitable purposes

IACC aims to promote carbon capture research and technology development and deployment, thus contributing to reducing CO2 emissions and mitigating climate changes for a better living environment. To achieve this aim, IACC will organise carbon capture conferences, workshops and seminars; promote collaborations between academics, industries and other carbon capture organisations; support early career researchers to carry out cutting-edge research; increase public awareness of the needs of carbon capture and encourage the young generation to consider low-carbon-emissions technologies and behaviour; and contribute to international communication for carbon capture development.
