The direct benefits that flow from North South Veterans Rest & Recuperation purposes are that support is provided and facilities developed that assist with delivery of opportunities for rest and recuperation for the benefit of ex-serving veterans of H.M. Armed Forces and Irish Defence Forces personnel, their family members and / or carers by

Veterans which lead to subsequent improvements in health and well-being and better quality of life for beneficiaries. The benefits of North South Veterans Rest & Recuperation activities are evidenced by measurement of facilities and services provided, usage of these facilities and numbers of persons receiving support. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of North South Veterans Rest & Recuperation. The beneficiaries of North South Veterans Rest & Recuperation are ex-serving veterans of H.M. Armed Forces and Irish Defence Forces personnel, their family members and / or carers. The only private benefit flowing from the association’s purposes are that North South Veterans Rest & Recuperation trustees can use the facilities provided and participate in all activities, this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all eligible members of the community can potentially avail of these and benefit.

What your organisation does

North South Veterans Rest & Recuperation is a recently formed association who wish to assist ex-serving veterans of H.M. Armed Forces and Irish Defence Forces personnel, their family members and / or carers by providing rest and recuperation opportunities for these people through providing suitable holiday accommodation, organising social events,

day trips and information events. The organisation is receiving donations of second-hand furniture, bric-a-brac and clothes which are then sold through a shop to raise funds that assist deliver the charities’ activities.

Charitable purposes

THE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY ARE: The charity's purposes are to promote the health and wellbeing of ex-serving veterans of H.M. Armed Forces and Irish Defence Forces personnel, their family members and / or carers by: a) securing accommodation that can be used for holiday breaks to provide rest and recuperation for veterans, their family members, carers; b) organising events, gatherings, and social outings to relieve social isolation; c) and by any other charitable activities as the trustees shall consider appropriate.
