Public benefits

(a) Improved communication and understanding: The PTFA aims to help develop understanding between parents, teachers, and all associated with the administration of the school. This helps to foster and improve communication and collaboration between these groups, which helps create a more supportive and effective learning environment for our

students. (b) Educational support: Our PTFA aims to encourage activities of all kinds to promote the education and welfare of all children attending the school. This includes providing resources and support for educational programs, extracurricular activities, and other initiatives that enhance the learning experience for students. (c) Parental education: The PTFA aims to help parents understand current trends in the teaching and development of children. This should lead to more informed and engaged parents who are better equipped to support their children's learning and development. (d) Teacher-parent relationships: The PTFA aims to enable teachers to establish a closer relationship with parents and help them have a better understanding of the children in their charge. This should lead to more effective collaboration between teachers and parents, which should benefit student learning and well-being. (e) Awareness of educational opportunities: The PTFA aims to give parents a wider knowledge of the educational provision made nationally and locally and point out the opportunities for further education which are available to their children. This could help to ensure that parents are aware of the resources and opportunities available to support their children's education and future prospects. (f) Financial and other support for the school: Our PTFA aims to assist the school through financial and other help. This includes fundraising, volunteering, or providing other forms of support to help the school meet its educational and operational needs. We have Improved communication and engagement by directly inviting all parents to join the PTFA,the response was very positive. We currently have 116  registered members and 84 parents on the whatsAPP group. Within the last couple of months we have also directly funded the purchase of 2 new classroom smart boards and 10 laptops for the school IT suite. This support has directly benefited our students with improved learning, increased engagement and the expansion of opportunities for learning. We are also currently planning our annual summer fair, which brings the entire school community past and present together for a community celebration of the end of the school year. By becoming a charity, we hope to explore innovative approaches to enhance parental education, improve teacher-parent relationships, and seek additional funding sources to support and enrich school life. The purposes of our charity do not lead to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are children/young people, parents and teachers and all associated with the administration of the school. None

What your organisation does

Our PTA is made up of a group of elected parents and all teaching staff. All parents are invited to our meetings and to help with events run by or supported by the PFTA and we have over 100 active parents on our PTFA whatsApp group. Our programme of events includes school discos, Christmas Pantomime, Summer Fair and general fund raising activities

throughout the year. With the funds raised we provide essential equipment and resources which makes a significant difference to the school. Recent purchases include 2 interactive whiteboards and 10 new laptops. We have found the PTFA to be a great source of funding for the school but also beneficial to welcoming new parents.
