Public benefits
Purpose 1: Effective relationships between parents and the school. The benefit which flows from this purpose includes funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. Purpose 2: Advancing the education of pupils in the school. The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progress
and attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community. Purpose 1 is demonstrated through having an active Parent Association that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. Purpose 2 is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. No harm arises from either purpose. The benefit is for: 1) Children attending St Patrick’s Primary School. 2) Parents/guardians of pupils attending St Patrick's Primary School. 3) Local community (school catchment area). Charity trustees (Parent Association committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.

St Patrick's Parent Association provides a forum for the parents/guardians of children attending St Patrick's Primary School to work together, in partnership with the school and local community (school catchment area) to help provide the fullest experience for children attending the school. We do this through: 1) PA Meetings to plan activities,
report on progress and capture learning to inform future development. 2) Annual Calendar of Events for the enjoyment of pupils, parents/guard2023ians, staff, families and the local community. 3) Fundraising activities to support education/learning projects in the school.
