Purpose 1: Engagement To provide engagement opportunities for staff, students and their families, with the aim to enrich the provision of opportunities for the benefit of the students’ educational experience. The direct benefits that flow from this purpose include increased educational engagement and progress for the students. Additionally,
students benefit from increased engagement of staff, families, and the wider school community. Purpose 2 & 3: Community -To support the school’s vision and areas for development with a focus on ‘community engagement’. -To promote Bangor Academy and Sixth Form College in the local community. The direct benefits that flow from these purposes are increased development of links with the local community, leading to stronger connections between the school, students, families and greater community engagement. Purpose 4&5: Events and Fundraising -To organize events and/or activities that advance or enrich the educational experience of the students. -To raise funds that can be directed to support the needs of the school community The direct benefits that flow from these purposes are increased access to funding for additional resources for the school. Purpose 1: Engagement The benefits identified can be demonstrated through the increased number of events and/or activities that are made available, providing further opportunities for engagement beyond the normal school operations. Purpose 2 & 3: Community The benefits identified can be demonstrated through developed links with community organizations, outside agencies and local businesses. Purpose 4&5: Events and Fundraising This is demonstrated through pupils having access to funding, resources, events, activities, and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. The purposes do not lead to harm. All engagement opportunities, events and activities comply with the schools’ policies in relation to Safeguarding, Child Protection and risk assessment. The beneficiaries are the students, staff, families and wider school community of Bangor Academy and Sixth Form College. The charity trustees and PTFA committee members are normally parents and/or staff of students attending the school. They will benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.

and deliver fundraising events/activities and/or initiatives that raise funds for the school community and direct spending to initiates that are not normally funded by the Education Authority. 4.To apply for relevant funding through community grant organisations or other funding streams, with the potential to support the advancement of education for the students.
