What your organisation does

The charity promotes best practice in all aspects of kidney care for children across NI. We support families with the provision of additional bespoke equipment to allow home dialysis to be undertaken in a safe environment. We provide financial assistance to the renal families toward holidays and transport - this is essential for the mental health

and wellbeing of the children impacted by kidney disease. We support families with transport costs to and from the hospital, this has increased significantly due to the unavailability of ambulance facilities. We promote the Transplant Games as the best advert for life after transplant - this event is held annually usually in England. We provide significant sponsorship to support the kids to meet with other children and families who have experienced the same illness. We support the renal team to engage with other professionals across the UK to learn new techniques, procedures and to continue their professional development and through their research into new treatments. We arrange fun days to allow the extended kidney family to come together and learn from each other's experiences.
