Public benefits
Direct benefits of our Associations purpose include a monetary boost for Artists and businesses that are hired for the festival and Fundraising events. The townsfolk of Kilrea and its visitors are entertained at minimal cost, and this instills a pride in the town, being "For the People, by the People". The Association's cross community policy of
inclusiveness creates a more integrated society in Kilrea, and all events are designed to appeal to everyone in the town. The small projects will help rejuvenate the town, energize the townsfolk into volunteering to beautify the area and restore some pride in where they live. These Benefits are evidenced by feedback from attendees of the Associaton's events by way of surveys and word of mouth. Attendance figures have been captured and ticket sales counted which indicate the footfall the events generate. Further public consultation in regard to all projects for the town will also be sought and residents satifaction ratings will be garnered by further surveys. Association audits will also demonstrate the inclusion of members from different religious backgrounds, sexes and ages. No harm can be seen to arise from the purposes of the Association The Association's beneficiaries are the townsfolk of Kilrea; its artists, musicians, businesses and the township itself. The Association's purposes are to benefit the township and townsfolk of Kilrea, NOT any Private benefit

The Kilrea Community & Fairy Thorn Association exists for the benefit of the townsfolk and businesses and artists of Kilrea. The Association runs the Fairy Thorn festival, which hires/utilizes local artists, venues and businesses as a means to promote and highlight the town's many talented people. The Association then funnels any money made
through fundraisers or the festival into town regeneration projects, such as park facelifts or free entertainment events. The first of these projects will be ran in early 2023.
