Public benefits

The direct benefits include reducing social isolation for those most vulnerable within the area, improved health and wellbeing, and enhancing the local environment. Furthermore, the direct benefits from this purpose include promotion of programmes, events and services available for local people as information will be accessible through our social

media and word of mouth. The benefits can be demonstrated by the delivery and participation of the programmes and events within the community. Additionally, by providing a safe space where local residents are welcomed and listened to. The community premises is a hub at the heart of the community and everyone is encouraged to take part in programmes and activities. Volunteers are provided with opportunities to grow and improve their skills through access to training from other service providers. We continue to complete evaluation forms and record the numbers of participants attending all of the programmes and events that we deliver. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries are the community of Monkstown. Our volunteers can avail of training available which will enable them to organise, plan and deliver programmes within our community. The benefits would be that the volunteers will receive certificates which may help them in their own personal development. This is an incidental benefit.
