Public benefits

The direct benefits of our organisation are building community cohesion and belonging; increasing social interations and developing accessible knowledge and awareness regarding positive mental and physical healthy lifestyles . Our programmes are shaped to reduce isolation within our participant base and increase volunteering opportunities which

will aid in developing connectivity between participants. The benefits will be demonstrated through monitoring and evaluating each of the organisations programmes. This will be done through quantitative measures via attendance and independent scoring in addition to qualitative measures such as feedback and informal conversations. There is no harm. Beneficiaries are residents living in the Lisburn and Castlereagh area and nearby who wish to attend our classes and workshops. There is no private benefit

What your organisation does

Our organisation offers people in the local community to come together for a range of activities including offering courses incorporating expert practitioners offering workshops on mindfulness; health and well being; combating loneliness; providing a community environment for the Lisburn area. The benefits to the community will be promoting healthy

eating and living, experts in health and exercise to help increase health and wellness into the local community resulting in a decrease in anxiety and loneliness. This is being achieved by holding community activities to build relationships between members. In addition to information courses and classes, we have a walking programme to improve participants mental and physical wellbeing. We will be offering ongoing programmes in health and fitness; mindfulness; pilates; yoga. Also offering workshop days to increase people's knowledge of health and wellbeing offering relaxation; mindfulness; exercise and bringing people together to involve different sections of the community, creating a healthy bond between people, increasing social interaction and helping to boost mental and health well being. This programme will enable the community to increase social networking and self worth increasing self awareness and ability to help prevent/aid in the recovery of stress and anxiety. The exercise section to increase agility, mobility and fitness. With the healthy eating and well being increasing knowledge of what we eat and how it affects us, and increase knowledge of how living a healthier lifestyle, offering different programmes to different users enabling the maximum benefit of our programme to the community.

Charitable purposes

The charity’s purposes (‘the purposes’) are To promote the benefit of women in the wider Lisburn area (herein described as ‘the area of benefit’) without discrimination of age, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort, to advance education and provide facilities and/or activities in the interest of social welfare, recreation, and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving quality of life for the said inhabitants. The organization shall be non-political and non-sectarian in membership and activities Promoting the preservation and protection of health and a greater sense of wellbeing among women and a reduction in social isolation through greater involvement in various activities including training and community development.
