Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from the organisation's purpose are: - bringing communities from different backgrounds together through the use of football/sport - help individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds integrate into local communities, create new friendships - help individuals participate in association football, be active, and provide

Futsal coaching opportunities - challenge stereotypes and misconceptions relating to racism These benefits can be identified through; - local partnerships with other local community groups and assessing the impact of our activities/programs involving individuals from the indigenous local community and individuals from ethnic minority communities - assessing the number of people who continue to be involved with the club/organisation and take part in the organisation's activities - feedback exercises with participant individuals and from other community organisations who we work with/key partners - an assessment of the number of individuals who have availed from Futsal coaching qualifications The main harm which could result from the activities provided by the organisation would be physical harm/physical injuries arising from playing Futsal/Football. The organisation's activities are however provided by qualified coaches and the organisation would also have an football/Futsal insurance and public liability insurance in place to mitigate this risk in case it arises. The beneficiaries are the general public, individuals taking part in the organisation's activities There is no private benefit

What your organisation does

The organisation carries out its purpose by providing recreational and leisure activities to its members and other members, from community partnership organisations. We currently offer weekly Futsal training sessions and an opportunity to compete in the Northern Ireland Futsal League to our members, composed by individuals from Ethnic Minority

backgrounds and individuals from both sides of the community (Protestant and Catholic). We are also currently working in partnership with Migrant Help (a national organisation that offers services to refugees and asylum seekers) and Limestone United (a local youth group from an Interface area of north Belfast) through which we run weekly Futsal training sessions with the objective of bringing communities from different backgrounds together, offering an opportunity for individuals to remain active and help reduce their levels of isolation. Our program also incorporates an educational aspect through which we share experiences from individuals from different backgrounds, challenge stereotypes relating to racism, discuss aspects relating to anti-sectarianism, and offer Futsal coaching qualifications to some of the individuals. We don't currently have a business plan but this is something that we will be exploring in the next coming months as we have recently become members of SPORTED who will allocate one of their representatives to help us create and complete a detailed Development/Business plan for the club.
