Public benefits
Purpose 1 - Advancing the education of pupils in the school The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community. Improved relationships between home and school and better resources and facilities to enable participation within educational
activities and services. This purpose can be demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. The PTA enables pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. There is no harm arising from our purposes. The benefit is for children and parents at Holy Family Primary and Nursery School. Charity trustees (our PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.

The PTA hold meetings each term where all parents and guardians as well as teachers are invited. We hold fundraising events like the Christmas Rickety Wheel Night, Halloween Disco, Easter Raffle, End of Year P6 & P7 Disco and helping at sports day/school shows. We also enhance educational provision by providing financial support by purchasing
digital devices, laptops, laminators, trimmers, Mathletics, books, sensory equipment etc. This equipment enabled volunteers from our organisation to run a programmes and services to further the education and training of parents and children at the school.
