Public benefits

Eastpoint Church meets the public benefit requirement by providing benefit to its members and the general public through the advancement of religion by advancing the Christian faith and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed through the Holy Bible and providing for preaching, teaching and fostering the growth of the Christian faith in

Belfast and other places and calling pastors and workers to carry on the work of evangelism, promote missionary work in all places and carry on the organisation of churches and foster their development. Eastpoint Church exists to promote religious activities and a space for religious and social activities. The benefits are demonstrated through the provision of a vibrant church community and a building for the worship of God and as a space for the community to take part in activities which are linked to and organised by the Church and our religious activities such as public worship services, the Sunday School, Life study groups and men’s and women’s fellowship meetings. The provision of the space for religious and social activities leads to increased opportunities for all in the area through a shared space to support and develop the well-being, both mental and physical for the inhabitants. The benefits are demonstrated through an improved quality of life for the inhabitants of the area and increased social interaction. There is no harm arising from any of these purposes. The benefit is for all within the Dundonald area and its environs. The beneficiaries are the general public of all age groups and sections of society from the communities in which we live and work. Eastpoint Church is for the public at large and everyone is welcome to come to and take part in the activities run by the church. There is only one private benefit flowing from our church purpose and that is the salary of our church Pastor. This is incidental and necessary because this post is required in order to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

Eastpoint Church is a vibrant non-denominational church in the heart of Dundonald which provides weekly worship services at Tullycarnet Community Centre and practical help to the community around us. Our other activities include the provision of midweek services, life study groups, weekly men’s and women’s fellowship meetings and the Eastpoint

Kids’ Sunday School. The church is open to all sections of the community and everyone is made welcome.
