Public benefits

Members of the orchestra benefit from training and experience playing, improving their musical skills and abilities, while members of the public are able to enjoy performances of a genre of music that is seldom performed in a live orchestral setting. The benefits can be demonstrated by personal testimony of members on their enjoyment and

improvement, and by the execution of public performances or events by the orchestra of satisfactory quality, which can be determined by feedback from event organisers, attendees and media coverage. There is no perceived harm from our purpose, specific events will have risks mitigated by risk assessment on a case by case basis. The beneficiaries of the charity are the general public with an interest in video game music or novel live orchestral performances, and musicians of who are of an ability to be able to participate as members of the orchestra. There is a private benefit to the musical leaders in the orchestra as they gain teaching and mentoring experience and skills, however this is incidental and helps advance the purposes of the organisation.

What your organisation does

The organisation holds regular full orchestra rehearsals where members can develop their skills with the tutelage of more experienced musicians. Additional rehearsals dedicated to specific sections are also held. We also provide masterclasses with local professional musicians. Members are encouraged to arrange music based on video games for the

orchestra, with support and feedback provided on arrangements and the oppertunity to hear their pieces performed at live events. These rehearsals are aimed towards putting on public events either organised by the orchestra ourselves or entertainment as part of larger related events like conventions and festivals.
