DSCT provides football and sports related programmes which enhance: Physical Fitness through participation in and progress through active involvement supported by well trained and knowledgeable coaching staff. Mental Wellbeing through improved lifestyles and associated development activities in terms of personal awareness, personal effectiveness,

personal health, team working, problem solving, communication skills, leadership and citizenship. Spiritual awareness through the development of values such as commitment, integrity, accountability and community spirit. DSCT provides benefit through the provision of appropriate facilities for the pursuit of sporting, recreation and leisure time occupation such as: sports and fitness activities that are outdoor and indoor in nature; sports and fitness activities; facilities for use in the pursuit of recreational activities. DSCT works in collaboration and partnership with community groups, youth groups, schools, voluntary organisations, charities and relevant statutory agencies. DSCT utilises our ad-hoc relationships with stakeholders such as: Mid Ulster District Council, Community Organisations of South Tyrone & Areas (COSTA Rural Support Network), Dungannon Swifts FC, relevant Funding Bodies, Statutory Agencies, Trusts and Foundations for the benefit of all the local community. DSCT promotes equality and diversity across all of our activities in sport, recreation, arts and leisure time pursuits including reaching out to cross-community and ethnic communities through hosting groups at Stangmore. All coaching, education and training programmes offered through DCST include good relations at the core of all our activity. Dungannon Swifts Charitable Trust promotes charitable activities both as a single venture and in partnership with others. In particular, DSCT works with Dungannon Swifts FC to promote the annual ‘Charity of the Year’. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from beneficiaries and attendees at our premises, meetings, events, classes, training, and activities using: evaluation forms, surveys, Facebook page, verbal feedback, and evaluation of our activities. Evidence includes: the range of activities provided and the level of participation by age, gender and interest; the numbers of people participating in such programmes and from qualitative and quantitative feedback; individual activity reports and a Yearly Report of Activities. All reasonable steps are taken to identify any and all risks associated with each activity and all staff and voluntary leaders are made aware through the relevant Risk Register and all Health & Safety requirements are met. Such risks would be deemed to be sports related incidents and injury. In providing a local point of social contact and activities for the community benefit there is no possibility of harm out weighing the benefit. The charity’s beneficiaries are primarily Charities and the inhabitants of Dungannon and its surrounding environs within the Dungannon and South Tyrone area of Mid Ulster District Council. Those who will benefit from these activities will primarily be associated with the involvement and playing of football across a range of age groups such as the Dungannon Swifts (Boys, Girls, Disabled & BME Groups), Ladies Football, The Veterans and young people and adults in playing for fun and health. DSCT provides public benefit for the people from Dungannon and wider Mid Ulster in activities, education and training which contribute to: Intercommunity Relations and Social Inclusion, Community Coaching, Sports Development, Education, Training, Health and Well-Being, Disability and Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Awareness and Crime Prevention. A private benefit to Trustees may arise from our ongoing services to the community which can also be accessed by Trustees who are local volunteers. Through this, Trustees gain information, skills, and experience which are transferable to other settings, and which may benefit their own community group or area. Our own Trustees receive information, services and activities in the same way as other beneficiaries, and are assigned support, information and services in the same ways as other beneficiaries. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
