Purpose 1 benefits are decreased poverty rates and increased knowledge on poverty in our community. Purpose 2 benefits are improved mental health understanding and increased knowledge of services, organisations and life saving steps. Purpose 3 benefits include improved mental health outcomes and higher socialisation. Purpose 4 benefits include
increased community involvement and participation. Purpose 5 benefits are improved personal and social outcomes. Purpose 1 is demonstrated through research, feedback and evaluations. Purpose 2 is demonstrated through independent studies, feedback data and government statistics. Purpose 3 is demonstrated through reduced visits to secondary mental health care services and reduced numbers of hospital visits. Purpose 4 is demonstrated through attendance records, social interactions and community support. Purpose 5 is demonstrated through independent studies, feedback data and government statistics. The Zachary Geddis Break the Silence Trust’s beneficiaries are members of the community from the ages 8 and above who are suffering with mental health issues, their family and friends. Currently we have 3 premises located in the Causeway Coast and Glens and Mid Ulster Borough Council. With over 170 monthly users, 60 weekly users of our services and a combined 50,000+ weekly social media reach we provide the community with immediate access and mental health support 7 days a week: • Counselling (Person centred, CBT and SSCBT) •
Mental Health and Wellbeing Mentoring • Crisis Intervention • Safety Planning • Weekly Support Groups (Men’s Hub, Women’s Hub, Youth Hub, Bereavement) • Mental Health Education (Workshops, speaking events, YouTube channel) • Carers Support • Art, Play and Anger Therapy • CV and life skills coaching • Training and Awareness Days • Daily Helpline • Food Banks • Alternative Christmas Support (24th – 27th December 24/7) All services also have a conversion service which can take place online if circumstances such as isolation or illness occurs. We cater across Northern Ireland, GB as well as ROI via our online platforms which has offered many accesses to help and intervention where there would have previously been none.
