The direct benefits that flow from the association’s purpose are the provision of a range of recreational, educational and social activities within Belcoo Community Centre which is a purpose built community centre provided by Fermanagh & Omagh District Council, for members of the local community living within Belcoo village and surrounding
district, providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities that assist improve their health, social interaction, educational attainment, and their conditions of life through accessing services and activities that would not be normally be available to them without the efforts of the association. Many of the activities are organised by the association linking with other statutory authorities, voluntary organisations, and local inhabitants. All activities are operated by the association complying with the conditions of the lease granted by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. The benefits of the group activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers attending activities and feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Belcoo and District Community Association. The beneficiaries of the association are persons who live in Belcoo village and surrounding rural district. The only private benefit flowing from the association’s purposes are that trustees of Belcoo and District Community Association and their families, can participate in all activities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all eligible members of the community, can potentially avail of these and benefit.

Belcoo and District Community Association has been in operation since the 1977 as the community development association representing Belcoo village and surrounding district in County Fermanagh, over this time the association has worked to develop facilities and projects that benefit the local population and area. The core work of the association
is managing Belcoo Community Centre which is leased to the association by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. This centre which has been in operation since 1980, is used to provide a range of recreational educational and social activities for the local population delivered either directly by the association or by other community, voluntary and statutory organisations.
