The direct benefits flowing from providing a local educational resource, the promotion and preservation of the culture and heritage of local people, in particular those who reside in the County Fermanagh area, and the promotion of cultural confidence and civic pride, bolstering morale of the community and harnessing the abilities of local people is

the provision of educational material, organising talks, seminars, exhibitions and visits for members and the general public. The direct benefits flowing from raising funds to help and support local Charities is the actual raising of such funding and supporting charities work. The direct benefits from the purposes can be demonstrated through the number of activities organised and the number of members and non-members attending along with the amount of money raised for charity. There is potential harm from use of premises due to pandemic and health & safety issues. This is mitigated through Risk Assessments and resulting recommendations put in place. Also if working with children or vulnerable adults, mitigated by Safeguarding Policy. The charity's beneficiaries are members, the general public and other local and national charities that we support and assist. No private benefit from any of the purposes

What your organisation does

To provide facilities for the enjoyment of and participation in local history, writing and other activities of a cultural nature. To organize or assist in organizing lectures, meetings, exhibitions, events and activities consistent with the objectives of the Society. To prepare, or assist in the preparation of written, audio, or video material

which records or explains the culture and traditions of local people. To co-operate to such extent as may be necessary with voluntary and statutory agencies and inhabitants of the area of benefit so as to advance the said objectives. To raise funds by way of donation, contributions, and other lawful methods. To do all such other lawful things as may advance the above aims and objectives.
