1 The advancement of the Christian Religion: The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the positive impact on the individuals’ sense of well-being that relationship with the Christian Godhead has and the morality and good citizenship that follows. 2. The prevention and relief of poverty: The direct benefits which flow from this

purpose are that people will become self-sufficient and build financial capability. 3. The advancement of education: The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is that children in poverty who were not in the education system will go to school, get a regular meal and gain the confidence and opportunities that education brings. 4. The advancement of health and saving of lives: The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is that people who are unable to access medical intervention due to poverty will get the treatment they require. 5. The advancement of amateur sport: The direct benefit that flows from this purpose is that the young people involved gain a sense of teamwork, positivity and health and well-being. 1 The advancement of the Christian Religion:These benefits are demonstrated through the sense of unity of the people involved and results will be seen in the people caring for each other 2. The prevention and relief of poverty:These benefits will be demonstrated by feedback from the participants on the employment courses and from the social worker working with the families involved 3. The advancement of education:These benefits will be demonstrated through school reports, examination results, personal feedback from the pupils and their teachers. 4. The advancement of health and saving of lives: The benefits will be demonstrated through patient feedback and successful medical and surgical outcomes 5. The advancement of health and saving of lives: Any medical or surgical intervention carries risk of unintended harm however this is outweighed by the obvious consequences of not treating the patients. It is also mitigated by use of only properly qualified and accredited medical and nursing staff. 5. The advancement of amateur sport:This purpose is beneficial and there is no harm identified or anticipated. 1 The advancement of the Christian Religion: charity’s beneficiaries are those living in the socially, economically deprived areas of Uganda particularly Kampala. 2. The prevention and relief of poverty: The charity's beneficiaries are those living in poverty in Kampala Uganda 3. The advancement of education:The beneficiaries are children living in poverty in Kampala who are otherwise unable to go to school because of their family’s poverty. 4. The advancement of health and saving of lives:The beneficiaries are those in poverty in Kampala who cannot afford required medical treatment or surgical interventions. 5. The advancement of amateur sport:The beneficiaries are the young people living in poverty in Kampala Uganda. 1 The advancement of the Christian Religion: benefit is only to the intended beneficiaries, no private benefit. 2. The prevention and relief of poverty: Benefit is to intended beneficiaries, there is a small private benefit to the social worker delivering employment courses but this is incidental and necessary to the achievement of the purposes. 5. The advancement of amateur sport:3. The advancement of education:The private benefit flowing from this purpose is that some improvements were made to the charity school’s toilet facilities and the fees per child contribute to the modest salaries of essential teaching and non-teaching staff, however this was incidental and necessary for the safe achievement of the purpose. 4. The advancement of health and saving of lives: Medical staff and hospitals treating the patients. This is incidental and necessary - directly contributes to achieving the charity’s purpose 5. What your organisation does

Abundant Life Uganda is a faith-based charitable organisation which aims to alleviate poverty by sustainably supporting families in Uganda. It is run by volunteers with the purpose of ensuring that the entirety of donations received directly reach the point of need, avoiding administrative charges. In particular, the purpose of the charity is: 1 To

share the abundant life offered via the good news of Christian message in a relevant way. 2 Provide sustainable relief of poverty, primarily through income generating courses and grants to allow families to become self-sufficient and build financial capacity. 3 Advance education through primary, secondary and tertiary level sponsorships, teacher training workshops and school renovation projects. 4 Provide health, hygiene and medical support through educational workshops and medical grants for urgent cases.

Charitable purposes

1. The advancement of the Christian Religion by carrying out missionary and outreach work to promote the positive impact that relationship between the individual and the triune Christian Godhead – Father, Son and Holy Spirit can have. The good news of the Christian message will also be promoted through practical care and support as outlined in the other charitable purposes outlined at 2-5 below. 2. The prevention and relief of poverty: this purpose will be advanced through the implementation of sustainable projects to enable those in deprivation to become self-sufficient and build financial capability. The charity will seek to address poor housing, unemployment, lack of opportunity and alleviation of hunger. 3. The advancement of education: this purpose will be advanced through various mechanisms including (but not limited to): a. School sponsorship programmes where individuals, groups and organisations from Northern Ireland will be encouraged to sponsor children through education. b. Education bursary programme where funds will be raised to support children, young people and adults through education from primary to tertiary level. c. Bespoke development projects to assist individuals and groups to develop capabilities, competencies, skills, learning and understanding. 4. The advancement of health and saving of lives: this purpose will be advanced through sponsorship of medical/surgical interventions and promotion of personal and public health advice/programmes. 5. The advancement of amateur sport through capacity building and organisations to promote positive behaviour, teamwork, health and well-being in areas of deprivation. Charitable events and fundraising opportunities will be organised and occur within Northern Ireland with activities and interventions in advancement of the charitable purposes being carried out in Uganda
