Public benefits
We feel the purpose of our organisation meets the public benefit requirement by providing the following benefits: - Increasing education and knowledge through the provision of - learning resources about the development and history of agricultural, commercial, industrial and other vehicles and machinery. - educational tools related to sources
of power used for early machinery and vehicles. - educational resources demonstrating the use of early machinery and vehicles for agricultural, commercial, industrial and transport use. - a safe and secure learning environment related to the History, Agricultural & Industrial Heritage and Science of machinery Our organisation provides an enjoyable experience for people of all ages to develop social and communication skills by engaging in and sharing stories of our joint heritage with experts. It also provides an opportunity for families to experience together things from the past and provides an experience that encourages people of all ages to learn more and to participate in clubs and societies that protect our agricultural, commercial and transport heritage. -Providing events demonstrating the environment of a bygone era for the public and members to enjoy. -The organisation provides a learning experience for the public and members on how machines work and their importance in the expansion of the Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Revolution. -Members also gain experience and knowledge in restoring, operating and maintaining a variety of machinery using traditional methods. -The organisation provides regular seminars with guest speakers providing knowledge and expertise on topics of interest from a bygone era. These are open to members and visiting public. There is no charge for these seminars. The purposes of our charity may lead to a very small increase in air pollution. In our opinion this harm is hugely outweighed by the benefits through the education and enjoyment experienced by the public and members. The organisation also demonstrates less polluting farming techniques and lower density farming. The charity’s beneficiaries are members of the general public of all ages and the members. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is the member’s education, enjoyment and development of their hobby and this is incidental and necessary because without members enjoying the experience the organisation would not develop.
