Public benefits

The advancement of religion produces individual lives that are changed for the better as they gain the knowledge of their Creator and how they are valued by Him. Fellowship with other happy and fulfilled people from similar situations has a hugely beneficial effect on the individual. They become better. They don't feel remote, alone, defeated or

different as they continue in fellowship with others and learn to be part of a community again. They benefit and their family benefits from a happier parent, sibling or relative. They develop a stronger moral character which benefits their workplace or community and their example rubs off on their colleagues/peer group. There is a pond ripple effect as their circle of influence enlarges. Through their fellowship groups they gain access to other courses or education which can further benefit them in their life. Our funding for relief of poverty means that individuals, families, missionaries and ministries can be kept going and strong and can retain dignity in their lives and work. Our volunteers also derive benefit from on/off the job training while serving with us. We seek to empower, through God's Word, personal development and skills training, our beneficiaries to go on to achieve greater goals/ministries than they had ever envisaged. Individuals stay in fellowship and want to be part of the giving and doing of the charity/church themselves. They invite their families and friends because they have been helped. Some of our growth comes from a referral basis. We receive very many thank you cards and emails of appreciation. Local pastors who work with refugees and similar needs continue to email their thanks and provide updates long after any practical aid or donation has been sent. They are extremely grateful. Refugees themselves send their thanks through the church. The advancement of education is demonstrated in the growth of knowledge in individuals. Older, retired believers are recommissioned into ministry and younger people into work and often into further education or courses they have instigated themselves. Our volunteers often go on to employment or higher paid roles after serving with us. There is no harm arising from any of the charity's purposes The beneficiaries are the general public. There are no private benefits flowing from any of the purposes.

What your organisation does

To advance the Christian religion we preach privately and publicly to groups or individuals at every opportunity. We encourage prayer and study of the Bible and seek to establish weekly prayer meetings in as many homes as possible knowing that this is every believer's true strength. We establish group and individual bible studies for discipleship

in private homes and/or churches. We encourage evangelism through informal meetings in private homes as well as publicly. We write, publish and distribute our own printed and recorded material to encourage and aid growth in the believer and aid in evangelism. We help support missionaries/ministries in different parts of the world. We help plant and support churches (domestic and abroad) both monetary and in person. We fulfill a pastoral role by making ourselves available to help families spiritually and practically when needed and will carry out hospital visits at families' requests. With regard to the prevention or relief of poverty we actively help families or individuals in our community who are experiencing financial hardship. We provide food and clothing and often buy fuel for them or other necessary items. Further afield we donate (or have donated) to missions in the Philippines, India, Pakistan and the Balkans. We organize winter clothing relief for refugees by sending containers where and when needed. Our third purpose i.e.: the advancement of education can be individual mentoring or group study. Our trustees, through their knowledge and experience can draw on a huge amount of learning of their own and also tap into other resources, which can help equip people at any age with skills and abilities they need to succeed in the world of work and life. This practical knowledge coupled with biblical teaching is a powerful combination to provide for successful outcomes and gives a real sense of ability/stability in a hurting/depressed person's life and is very often the stepping stone to greater achievements.
