purposeful life-long learning through training, working in the Cafe, baking and cooking skills, barista skills in making coffees, serving, taking orders, writing down orders, communicating with strangers, improving social skills, improving confidence and overall improvement of mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. [Who are the charity's beneficiaries?] Anyone who avails of the services or facilities for example those on paid employment, volunteering, customers and the members of the Charity. What your organisation does

To provide paid employment and/or voluntary opportunities to adults 18+ with additional needs or disability through working at Harry’s Place Café. To relieve those ‘Harry’s Mates’ in need, by reason of ill health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantages through social interaction, building community, confidence and interpersonal

skills, and relevant signposting to relevant partner organisations. To enhance life skills/learning through group activities/events. To create a social hub for adults 18+ with additional needs, where they will be able to socialize, make new friends, play games and take part in other fun activities. To support Parents, Guardians and Carers through respite for the hours that the adults with learning disabilities attend Harry’s Mates on group nights or other outings/events which take place. To operate out of a regular location that is accessible to all Mates by promoting a disability friendly environment. To educate Harry’s Mates with a view to offering members life skills, community awareness workshops with local emergency services, while also engaging in therapies such as, art and design, dance and movement classes, baking/cooking workshops, health and hygiene courses and encouraging Harry’s Mates to develop independence with regards to their money management skills. To advance the health of Harry’s Mates by promoting personal hygiene, healthy eating and weight management classes. Basic first aid and survival skills are also shared and refreshed annually. To advance arts, culture and heritage of Mates by engaging with the arts/entertainment sector, visiting the cinema, drama, dance therapy, theatrical events holding cultural outings and awareness training. By advancing local knowledge of area, Mates will understand heritage and cultural developments more effectively. Inclusivity of all cultures will be encouraged with Diversity training held annually. To provide a cross community social group.
