Public benefits
1. The benefit which flows from this purpose includes funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. 2. The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community. 1. This is demonstrated through
having an active Friends Association that works in partnership with the school and engages in parental support support. 2. This is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. This purpose does not lead to harm. The beneficiaries of our charity are children and young people who attend Dromore High School. Parents and carers of children at Dromore High School will also benefit. Charity trustees (our committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.

The Friends of Dromore High School includes parents, staff and any interested party with a desire to assist the school community. The school principal is a trustee. We aim to be as inclusive as possible in the programmes and services that we provide. Members are invited to assist with a wide variety of activities and to offer their skills in the
running of the charity and the activities we organise. Activities can include a assisting the school with events, such as Christmas fairs and sports days; drop in coffee and chats to support parents; publishing educational materials such as cookbooks, support phone numbers and workshops to provide access to and training around using digital equipment. Communication with parents and pupils is maintained through the school newsletter and we publicise our work through local networks. We are continuing to develop our links with parents through correspondence requesting an indication of their interests and skills. Fundraising events throughout the school year are varied and aim to connect with diverse interest groups including the local and wider community. We have a volunteer network of 20 people who provide approximately 80 hours per month in volunteer time to run to further our purposes.
