The direct benefits flowing from Purpose 1 “To provide a safe environment for members to participate in football.” is a safe and neutral environment for players and coaches to train, play football. Participants benefit from healthier lifestyles, wellbeing and social inclusion through sport. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose includes
improvement in physical and emotional health and well-being as a result of participation in football and other recreational football. The direct benefits flowing from purpose 2 “To develop sport” by encouraging participation in sporting and recreational activities; providing members with suitable competition; assisting members to improve their personal sporting standards; organising football locally and providing equal opportunities for successful participation by all sections of the community. To promote the participation of the community in healthy recreational activities linked to sport specifically football. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose includes improvement in physical and emotional health and well-being as a result of participation in football and other recreational football. This includes raised esteem and confidence, improved aerobic capacity and development of physical skills. The direct benefits flowing from purpose 3 “To support or subscribe to such charities and other charitable purposes as shall be recommended by the Annual General Meeting.” include ability of the club to enhance the health and well-being, relationships and capacity of the community across other areas which we identify as having value and meet with the community and sporting ethos of the club. Benefits identified are demonstrated through the evaluation of our activities, programmes and services through players, club and AGM meetings and with other stakeholders. This includes gathering feedback via a range of means such as 1-2-1 interviews, group discussions or focus groups, comment cards, surveys and questionnaires around the benefits of activity provided. We also monitor participant numbers within sessions, growth in membership, retention into other programmes etc. to further reference the value and impact of our provision and to develop beneficial future services. Our purposes do not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of our purposes are people living in the Richhill area and across ABC Council Region. The private benefit for our members is that they are gaining a healthy and active lifestyles together with social inclusion across club activity.

The club provides free of charge football coaching to the local community, this includes: training 2 evenings per week plus a minimum of 1 match per week. We have 3 adult teams which cater for ages 15-57 every week. We also run fundraising events which include the whole community. on occasion we also provide a free kids soccer drop in, catering
for primary age school kids. We have a vision to obtain a lease on our current playing pitch and develop this for the benefit of the local community by obtaining grant funding to build new changing facilities with function room plus a new 3g floodlit artificial football pitch - there are plans to allow free community usage 1hour per day and the local primary school will have free unlimited use during operating hours. please see attached business plan recently submitted to ABC Council.
