Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from Purpose 1 include the funding for additional resources for Holy Cross Primary School, strengthening and building on our relationships and partnerships within the local community, our teaching staff and the Board of Governors of the School. The direct benefits flowing from Purpose 2 include engaging in activities
and providing facilities and/or equipment which support the school and the advancement of education to the pupils. We, the Friends of Holy Cross, have made significant differences to the lives of the children, the school, the parents and the community by ensuring inclusion and accessibility to all, reducing rural isolation and marginalisation. From a holistic point of view, we promote directly the importance of looking after our mental health and well-being for all. The benefits from Purpose 1 are demonstrated through the developed relationships of the Friends of Holy Cross between the staff, parents and others associated with the school. These benefits are evidenced through dedicated, enthusiastic and exceptional volunteers of the Friends of Holy Cross (FHC) (PTA), to whom work in partnership with the school, engage with parents, grandparents and friends of pupils within the school. These are demonstrated through the school's social media, website, local media and a presence at the school functions/events. We, FHC, have established relationships within the Community that provides us with local donations whilst actively promoting Holy Cross Primary School to prospective parents. The benefits of Purpose 2 are demonstrated by the provision of educational resources to the teachers and pupils, funding for school projects to share with the school and the Community. Educational monthly 'drop-ins', provides valuable discussion and healthy debates. Our Purposes 1 and 2 do not lead to harm. In the event of providing refreshments at an event/school function, we, FHC, ensure good housekeeping and adhere to the School's Health and Safety Policy. We, FHC, have never experienced any harm, hence the benefits outweighs the harm. Our beneficiaries are primarily the children of Holy Cross Primary School. The Charity trustees, namely the FHC, are usually parents of the pupils and they therefore, benefit in the same way as all beneficiaries. In support of the School Development plan, we, FHC, will assist where necessary the school's promotion of parental/community training/information and use of the school's facilities accordingly. There are no private benefits flowing from our Purposes 1 and 2. Our benefits are incidental and necessary for the achievement of the Friends of Holy Cross purposes.
