The benefits from purpose (d) are demonstrated by requests from organisations, churches and charities nationwide to perform on our own or to support other bands. These benefits from purpose (e) can be demonstrated by the band regularly being asked to participate in events all over Northern Ireland. This benefit from purpose (f) can also be demonstrated by enrichment of the cultural lives of communities in which our members reside and of our audience and by our continual updating of repertoire This purpose (a) will not lead to any harm and results in no private benefit. ... [more] [less]What your organisation does
Our organisation is a brass band undertaking concerts, competitions and activities to further the development of brass band playing and its appreciation by the general public. Rehearsals on a Wednesday 7:30pm to 9pm. Regular concerts including church services, parades, charitable events and seasonal events. We bring together members of the
community from all walks in life for a collective musical experience. Our purpose is to provide a facility for any person to play, or learn to play a brass or percussion instrument to the best of their abilities and to pass on our knowledge and experience to the next generations of musicians to keep the tradition of brass bands alive in our community. We offer support from a group of volunteers who give their time freely on either a one-to-one basis or as part of a group.
