What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisation's purposes? Purpose One (Relieving Poverty) - The direct benefit which flow from this purpose is a reduction in the impact of poverty on people's quality of life, the prevention of poverty, and improvements in the social, economic, community, and physical attributes of the area. Purpose

Two (Advancing education) - The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is a more educated, skilled and qualified population within the Skeoge area and a more informed and capable community living in the area also. Purpose Three (Preserving Health) - The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is improved health and well-being of the residents from the Skeoge area, and in particular the health and wellbeing of those who participate in the programmes / projects on offer by Skeoge Community Association. How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated? Purpose One: Relieving Poverty - The benefits flowing from the above can be demonstrated / evidenced through feedback from beneficiaries, and the ongoing evaluation of our programmes, projects and services. Purpose Two: Advancing Education - These benefits are evidenced through examination/test results, official government statistics and feedback from individual service users. Purpose Three: Preserving Health - These benefits are evidenced through feedback from residents/beneficiaries, official government statistics and regular evaluation of our services. Is there any harm arising from any of the purposes? Purpose One: Relieving Poverty - No harm arises from this Purpose Purpose Two: Advancing Education - No harm arises from this Purpose Purpose Three: Preserving Health - No harm arises from this Purpose Who are the charity's beneficiaries? Purpose One, Two & Three; Relieving Poverty / Advancing Education & Preserving Health - The beneficiaries of these Purposes are all the residents living within the Skeoge Area and in particular those who participate in the programmes / projects / initiatives delivered by Skeoge Community Association. Is there any private benefit flowing from any of the purposes? Is it incidental and necessary? A private benefit to a range of service providers may arise however these are necessary to co-ordinate and deliver the education, training, health and wellbeing programmes, and other initiatives and to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

Skeoge Community Association is a community support organisation which works with and on behalf of the local residents within the Skeoge area of the City. This is a new and emerging area that suffers from high levels of deprivation in terms of income, employment, health, education & skills, child poverty. Skeoge Community Association actively

engages in the design, development and delivery of a range of community based programmes aimed at tackling the issues surrounding deprivation and inequality. We provide a range of projects, programmes, services, and initiatives in such areas as training and education, health and wellbeing, sport and recreation, early intervention, family support, after schools activities, community safety. Our programmes, projects etc.. target those most in need and those most at risk of social exclusion including the long term unemployed, lone parents, low income working families, children from low income families, and disaffected youth.

Charitable purposes

To promote the benefit of all the inhabitants of The Skeoge area and wider community. The association is established to promote the benefit of all inhabitants in the area without distinction of sex, race or political, religious or other opinion, by associating together the said inhabitants, Statutory Authorities, Voluntary and Other Organisations in a common effort to advance education, relieve poverty and preserve health with the object of improving conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
