Public benefits
The direct benefits are: The promotion of the Buddhist Faith through the activities of teaching, study, practice and the observance of moral discipline, through the continuous implementation of the Study and Meditation Programmes outlined can considerably improve the mental health and wellbeing of participants. Participants can experience reduced
anxiety and stress levels. The charity also endeavours towards the provision of peaceful environments for people to enjoy Buddhist meditation, study, contemplation and discussion. The benefits can be demonstrated by: Participants commonly express their appreciation for their access to their study and meditation programmes, and report benefiting from increased inner peace, harmonious relationships, and improved conduct. They report reduced anxiety and stress levels and an increased sense of connection with, and acceptance of other people. They demonstrate increased confidence, and understanding of how to practice according to the Buddhist Faith. The charity receives continuous positive feedback from its participants. The relaxing and pacifying effect of just sitting in our Meditation rooms are often commented on by class attendees and visiting members of the public alike. There is no harm arising from any of the charities purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are anyone who wishes to attend. We make our "Everyone welcome" policy as clear as possible. Often the family, friends and colleagues of attendees will benefit by extension, from their increased mental and spiritual well being, and their ability to deal with stress and difficulties in a more calm and positive manner. Attendees will often also adopt a practice of moral discipline which means they try to refrain from harming any other living being. The only incidental and necessary private benefit would be the provision of modest subsistence and accommodation to those people whose work is deemed necessary to carry out the charity's purposes, eg: a Buddhist Teacher and Manager.
