Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from Elim Recovery purposes are the organising and provision of a range of counselling, training, mentoring and advice services to support people and families dealing with all forms of addiction, providing them with the opportunity to avail of support that empowers, gives hope and resolution to affected people

assisting them in the recovery process breaking the cycle of addiction and reintegrating back into society. The association members also collaborate with their service users, other local groups, and representative agencies to raise awareness within the community of the needs and experiences of persons and families affected by all forms of addiction and the benefits flowing from this are receiving support from other organisations to address issues and deliver services. The benefits of the association services are evidenced by measurement of numbers engaging in services and feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Elim Recovery. The beneficiaries of the group are individuals and families dealing with all forms of addiction who live in Northern Ireland. The only private benefit flowing from the group purposes are that trustees of Elim Recovery and their carers/families, can avail of all services and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all eligible members of the community can potentially avail of these and benefit.
