The direct benefits that flow from purpose of the charity include •increased health and well-being of all inhabitants of Dechoment and surrounding rural area and improved quality of life. •improved community relations between and within the community •reduction in social isolation and increased opportunities for engagement among rural
dwellers •relief of poverty and increased educational and recreational opportunities leading to improved confidence and self-esteem. The benefits are demonstrated through the number of individuals participating in community activities and services; the extent of interaction between all members of the local community; the number of activities taking place within the community; regular and ongoing evaluation of programmes and activities The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. The intended beneficiaries of the charity are the rural inhabitants of Dechomet County Down and its rural hinterland. There is no private benefit arising from any of the purposes. A private benefit to trustees may arise from participating in activities. Trustees may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

Dechomet community group was formed to tackle social, environmental and economic concerns within the rural area of Dechomet, Co Down. The group work in partnership with voluntary, statutory and community organisations to improve the local area, to provide enhanced services for the local isolated rural dwellers and in doing so make the area a better
