What your organisation does

We carry out our purpose by delivering a range of support, activities and events for the benefit of the residents of Conlig, from all ages and backgrounds. Regular activities include our weekly seniors’ group, community-led festivals and fun days, resident-led environmental and heritage projects, and underlying all of these activities is a focus

on providing social connection and improving health and well-being amongst residents. We also carry out advocacy work; raising residents’ issues and needs at inter-agency meetings, estate inspections, and other networking meetings, as well as working closely with other voluntary and statutory agencies such as North Down Community Network, Ards and North Down Borough and NIHE to ensure residents in Conlig get the support and knowledge they need to live a better quality of life. We regularly apply for relevant funding to carry out our purpose, and work in partnership with other groups in the village to ensure our work is sustainable, including Conlig Presbyterian Church, Conlig Orange Hall and Praxis Care.
